Criss Angel Sort of Proposes to Holly Madison
Congratulations, Holly Madison and Criss Angel. You’re sort of engaged!
According to E!, the couple was spotted at Berger & Son Fine Jewelers in Las Vegas on Christmas Eve, checking out rings.
A witness claims “they were looking at one ring and Criss said, ‘Would you marry me?’”
Madison’s response?
“[She] didn’t say anything. She just looked at him.”
Looks like the magician will need to pull a different trick out of his bag if he wants to hook this Playmate.
Holly Madison and Criss Angel are on the verge of marriage, along with undeserved celebrity gossip attention.
Dane Cooked Out of $10 Million
Dane Cook’s half brother - who was also his business manager - has been arrested for allegedly embezzling upwards of $10 million from the celebrity.
Darryl McCauley was charged with three counts of larceny and forgery for bilking the unfunny comedian and alleged actor. Authorities made the arrest after searching his Wilmington, Mass., home and discovered more than $800,000 - in $100 bills.
Massachusetts State Police authorities allege Cook’s brother was busted after his latest heist, in which stole the money they old fashioned way - forging a $3 million check from Dane and depositing it in his account. Simple, really.
McCauley, who has been in charge of Dane Cook’s financial affairs since his early career in the 1990s, when he merely a little-known unfunny comedian, will be arraigned on Wednesday in Woburn District Court in Massachusetts.
He has surrendered his passport and is being held on $3 million bail. Authorities continue to investigate McCauley, who will return to court in Boston January 15.
We don’t know what’s more upsetting here - that some guy would actually do this to his own brother, or that Dane Cook possessed $10 million dollars.

While the rest of us are out popping champagne this New Year’s Eve, Jennifer Garner might be popping out the last celebrity baby of 2008 - or the first of 2009!

Gina Glocksen and Joe Ruzicka to Get Married… Tonight!
Gina Glocksen will marry boyfriend Joe Ruzicka tonight.
The singer, who was a top 10 finalist on the sixth season of American Idol, and Ruzicka, a school teacher, will tie the knot in a non-denominational ceremony.
Other season six contestants Haley Scarnato and Jordin Sparks will serve as bridesmaids.

Matt Dillon Arrested For Driving Really Fast

On Tuesday night, the actor, 44, was pulled over in Newbury, Vermont, after state troopers clocked him driving 106 in a rented Chevy Impala. Good to see that while GM may be a terribly run company, their cars can still haul ass.
Matt Dillon was taken to a station in nearby Bradford, where he did his best DMX, getting photographed, fingerprinted and given a citation.
The process typically takes 15 to 20 minutes, according to Vermont State Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Tara Thomas.
“I have every reason to believe he was cooperative,” she says.
After committing one of the more serious crimes in the history of Vermont, Dillon is due to appear at Orange County Court on January 21.
Report: Larry Rudolph Made Up Britney Spears-Sandip Soparrkar Rumors
Is Britney Spears really dating Bollywood choreographer Sandip Soparrkar, as some celebrity news publications and sites have reported this week?
Are they planning on spending New Year’s together? Was she even in India over the past week and a half? What is the nature of their relationship?
India’s Daily Times spoke to Sandip Soparrkar, his business partner Jessy Randhawa, the hotel where Britney was supposed to be staying, security forces that would normally provide cover for a star of her status, and got to the bottom of it.
It appears the pop star was in fact there for two days, Soparrkar’s partner says, despite the strange lack of any Britney Spears photos to prove it.
Any real ones, that is. There is this obvious fake …
As for the timeline of Britney’s whirlwind trip to India, “She came in late Friday night. Saturday morning. She left this morning (on December 29) at about 2-2:30 am. She came, she rehearsed and she left,” Randhawa said.
Asked for comment, Sandip strenuously denied having anything romantic to do with Britney - who he did work on “Womanizer” with, but who says he did not meet at Madonna’s 50th birthday party this year, as the rumors say.
But then who’s spreading these stories and sending fabricated pictures like the one above - which was circulated via Sandip’s own email account?
The choreographer points the finger at one well-connected person …
“Larry Rudolph,” Sandip Soparrkar said. “He is Britney’s manager, and he had come with her when she travelled here for the weekend, and he said he had issues with his laptop and his Internet connection was not working very well.”
“He asked if he could mail it from my ID, so I said he could. And when he was working on my computer, I wasn’t there, so I don’t know what he sent.”
How can Sandip Soparrkar disown accountability for something sent from his laptop, his email, his ID, and not even see what was being sent?
“He being the spokesperson and manager for her, I don’t know what he sent. He’s kind of rude, so I didn’t converse much with him,” Sandip said.
“Larry had said he wanted to fuel certain things about Britney and get promotion for the video which will soon be released in Asia and Australia. So I told him if you want to use something to fuel, it’s okay, it’s fine with me, not a problem, but if it’s going to get a little too much, I don’t want my life to get affected with it, you know?”
When asked about the doctored picture (actually an old picture of Britney and Neil Patrick Harris), he said, “He’s not even shown me what pictures he has.”
What about them “locking themselves up” for an hour, as the stories going around are suggesting? “We did, but for rehearsal,” Sandip saod.
But if Rudolph did spread the rumors, what’s the point? Does Britney Spears need a story about dating Sandip Soparrkar to be in the news?
“No, but maybe she wants a little more push in India?” Jessy, his partner, said. “I don’t think it’s Sandip who’s actually doing this (spreading the rumors).”
“This is being done by the same people who spread the London story. People who are crazy about being in the media, they can lie sometimes. But he doesn’t have the power, if you’re blaming him. The whole country’s writing about him, isn’t it?”

Whitney Port Reflects on The City Premiere
After the first two episodes of The City premiered Monday night, the lovely Whitney Port took to the Internets to post some thoughts on her official site.
What was it like leaving L.A. for life in N.Y.C.? Or having cameras film her first date with Jay? Here’s Whitney Port’s take on The City - in her own words!

Hey everyone! So last night was the big night - I hope all of you were able to watch The City and I would love to hear what you thought of it.
Me and my entire family gathered at my house in LA to watch it and I thought it would be fun to give you a little recap with my own take on the first two episodes - and a little juicy behind the scenes stuff too!
The episode began with an introduction of my transition from LA life to city life and I can’t even tell you how sad I was to see the scene of me and [Lauren Conrad] saying goodbye. My eyes got really watery and I almost broke down.
But, within seconds excitement took over!
So the episode introduced you guys to a lot of new people! First came [Olivia Palermo], who I met on my first day at Diane Von Furstenberg.
I was already so nervous for my first day there, and it became even worse when I met her because she seemed so experienced! Olivia taught me what a socialite really is - I mean I sort of knew the parameters of what it takes to be a “social” considering I have grown up in Hollywood, but I found it so interesting that you can be completely self-made in the cutthroat environment that is New York City!
Next [Erin Lucas] was introduced. She and I actually met through our ex-boyfriends (they were best friends) at Coachella - a big music festival.
We had all stayed in an RV together there and instantly hit it off! I loved her free spirit and outgoing personality and I knew our friendship would last.
And of course, you all already knew [Jay Lyon] from The Hills! It was so crazy/surreal for me to have one of my first dates with Jay filmed! First dates are awkward enough, let alone having four cameras in your face, but our connection was so real that it didn’t even phase us! I love the part where Jay does his American accent lol. I force him to do it ALL the time. It’s one of my favorite things he does! My attempt at an Australian accent is something he could do without, I’m sure.
After the date, I didn’t think the cameras had caught us kissing down the street, but sure enough they did!!!
The DVF fashion show was probably one of the most hectic days of my life! My first week of work and I was already working backstage at Diane Von Furstenberg’s spring show and meeting her for the first time. We had an awesome front row that included Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Uma Thurman, Rosario Dawson, Rachel Zoe, Molly Sims, and so many others - everything turned out absolutely beautifully - it was a BIG day for DVF!
