Kara DioGuardi: Of Course Adam Lambert is Gay!
Earlier this week, we asked readers if they thought Adam Lambert should officially come out of the closet.
A majority of respondents so far have said no, Lambert doesn’t owe it to anyone to announce that he’s gay.
Based on her appearance on this morning’s edition of The View, it sounds like Kara DioGuardi would reply similarly, but for a different reason: everyone already knows Adam is gay!
“I don’t think that Adam was ever in [the closet],” the American Idol judge said. “I think he was always openly out.”
That’s not entirely true, of course. Lambert has never been ashamed to act in a certain matter (nor should he be), but he’s gone out of his way to beat around the homosexual bush each time a reporter has broached the topic of his sexuality.
Asked by Barbara Walters whether the perception of being gay negatively affected Lambert’s finish on the show, DioGuardi said:
“I hope not… because we should be judging on talent and viability in the music industry and they both [Lambert and winner Kris Allen] had that.”

Candy Spelling Blames Husband’s Death on Daughter
Wow. This is enough to make the Linda and Brooke Hogan seem like a close-knit mother and daughter.
Appearing on a Massachusetts radio station, 94.7 WMAS, yesterday to shill for her new book, “Stories From Candyland,” Candy Spelling didn’t merely bad mouth her daughter; she pretty much blamed the 90210 star for the 2006 death of her father. SERIOUSLY.
“My daughter one day decided that she wasn’t speaking to my husband, myself and my son, and that’s how it’s continued for the last, oh gosh, four or five years,” Candy said. “And it was sad, that’s what killed my husband, actually. He just didn’t want to live after that. He [had] just done everything he could possibly do for his daughter, and she wanted no part of him once he couldn’t do anything for her.”
Yes, referring to her own daughter’s actions, Candy actually said: that’s what killed my husband.
Candy Spelling has set the bar of awful mothering extraordinarily high. Good luck reaching it, Dina Lohan and Denise Richards!
In an attempt to garner more publicity for her joke of a memoir clarify her statement, Candy wrote the following for The Huffington Post:
“I didn’t intend to create headlines. I was asked a question about my daughter not speaking with my family, and I answered truthfully. My husband was very ill, and he had stopped eating and taking liquids. He called Tori on a daily basis, and never stopped asking if Tori had returned his call. We had to say no every day.”
We can only think of one response to these galling statements:
Anyone that purchases Candy Spelling’s book should be stoned on the spot.
Robert Pattinson Shirtless, Kristen Stewart Sprinting: A New Moon Photo Montage
This is great.
While the recent set photo of Robert Pattinson (shirtless!) making out with Kristen Stewart was rather hot, sadly, it was just a single image.

Selena Gomez is Cute, Under Pressure
We’ll get to Selena Gomez’s love life in a moment.
First, the young Disney star has posted a new MySpace blog entry, in which she discusses a Web series she’s filming titled Under Pressure. It will chronicle the making of her debut album, which she plans to release in September.
“I am filming my journey through this so you can see how hard I am working to do my best,” writes Gomez. “I am going through change, growth and failure just like everyone else, except mine is open for public scrutiny. Not everything you try in life is a major success.”
Over the last few weeks, life has been good for the Disney Channel actress:
Her TV show has been picked up for a third season, and she’s been filming the movie Beezus and Ramona in Vancouver, which is where she’s reportedly been flirting heavily with Taylor Lautner.
Gomez didn’t mention the Twilight hunk in her blog, but she doesn’t have. Recent photos of Taylena pretty much speak for themselves.
Gisele Bundchen: Not Pregnant
It’s okay, guys. You can go back to thinking that Tom Brady has never Gisele Bundchen naked.
Now that the star quarterback has shot down rumors that his wife is pregnant, we can stop hating the guy. After all, three Super Bowl titles and the eternal affection of one of the world’s greatest sports cities is enough.
Does Brady really need to remind us that he goes home and nails Gisele every night, as well?!?
When reporters asked the New England Patriots star about the pregnancy rumors this week, Brady shook his head and said, “No.” He added that “one is enough,” referring to his son, John, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
We think we know why Tom Brady is smiling. It has something to do with the beauty on his left.
Brother of Kate Gosselin: Sister’s Story for Sale!
It’s not enough to help us take Kate Gosselin’s side in her messy marriage to husband Jon, but it’s one thing to have random TV critics and celebrity gossip readers question your motives as a mother.
It’s another thing to be sold out by your own family.
Earlier this week, Kate’s brother Kevin Kreider and his wife Jodi laid into their relative on CBS’ The Early Show. They said that Kate and Jon were exploiting their children and exposing them to an unhealthy environment.
While Kevin told the morning show “we’re speaking out now because we want to be the voice of our nieces and nephews,” and insisted that there was “no payment at all” exchanged for the interview, there still appears to be plans for him to profit off all this ugliness
According to E! News, Kate’s sibling has been shopping his revealing take on the situation to media outlets for $30,000.
This development isnt likely to help Kevin and Jodi in their relationship with TLC’s most famous couple, which Kevin admits is “definitely been strained now.” He added:
“We haven’t seen the kids in a while, which is hard… What we hope is that they will kind of come around, see the effects, see what’s most important.”

Jillian Harris Shares Some Speedo Thoughts
In week two, The Bachelorette briefly morphed into The Amazing Date, with Jillian Harris sending the guys on a scavenger hunt to win a romantic date.
Later, she did some two-steppin’ with buttoned-up airline pilot Jake, hooped it up with the Harlem Globetrotters, and got a kick out of Mike’s surprise.
If you missed that, well, um, there was a Speedo involved.

My second week as The Bachelorette was an incredible whirlwind.
All 20 guys moved into the house and I moved into the mansion. It was strange having the master bedroom to myself. I shared that room with six other girls last season.
The first date started as a pool party at the mansion that turned into a scavenger hunt through L.A. I felt bad leaving the party early, but I knew it was part of the game.
I felt so glamorous driving through Los Angeles in that convertible!
JAM SESSION: Jill’s basketball skillz were on display later in the episode.
As the guys raced through the streets, I called each of them to see how they were doing. Somehow, Tanner and Mike Stag ended up in Chinatown! I was like, “Where are you?” and Mike was like, “I don’t know, there are all these signs that we can’t read!”
Brian and Ed stopped along the way to get me a flower, which was so sweet of them, but it also held them up. I was lucky that I had time to stop and get ready along the way. The guys had to drive around in wet swim trunks until they changed into their tuxes.
I loved the dress I wore at the Crocker Club. I felt like a total princess in it. And I wore my favorite shoes that my dad got me for good luck.
I felt awful that I could only choose one guy to have dinner with in the vault. I wanted to invite them all in! But, in the end I chose Wes because he was the most mysterious to me and I wanted to get to know him better.
I didn’t know until later that [Wes Hayden] was a little claustrophobic and was secretly freaking out the whole time we were having dinner. He didn’t show it!
The next date was with Jake, and I was so excited.
Up until our date, he had seemed so buttoned up, so I was curious to see if he could let his hair down, and he totally could! I loved dancing with Jake. He taught me how to two-step, and that’s kind of a miracle because I’m so not coordinated.
The third date was the basketball date, and it was a blast! I had my Harlem Globetrotters uniform on under my jacket for the first part of the date and it was really hot.
The guys kept asking me if I wanted to take my jacket off, and I kept insisting, “Nope, I’m fine. Really,” because I didn’t want to blow the surprise. It was Simon’s first time ever playing basketball, and I was really impressed with his efforts.
Playing on the Globetrotters’ team was awesome. Those guys are so funny. I had a chance to talk with Special K afterwards and he told me to watch how my guys play, because it says a lot about their personalities.
For example, if a guy hogs the ball on the court, then he’s going to be selfish in bed. Good thing all of the guys shared the ball that day.
Oh I almost forgot, the real story behind the Speedo. Okay, so after playing basketball, I took the guys for a walk on Venice Beach.
We passed a bigger guy wearing a tiny black Speedo and I casually mentioned, “If any of you guys wear something like that, you will be my hero.”
Right after that, Mike disappeared and we didn’t know where he went. All of a sudden, he runs out into the water wearing that same guy’s speedo!! I don’t know how he pulled it off, but he made my entire day by doing that!
Wow, there’s so much to tell you, but don’t worry I’m almost done.
The cocktail party was overwhelming, with 20 guys, and there were still some that I hadn’t had dates with that week. The part I hate the most is sending guys home. I hate it and it gets harder each time, but I know it’s all part of the process.
All in all, this was a wicked week, and it’s just the beginning!
Chace Crawford Pumped Up to Get Footloose
Chace Crawford is supposedly dating Esti Ginzburg. That is exciting.
In less stimulating news that also involves him contorting his body, he begins shooting the upcoming remake of the 1984 classic Footloose next March.
The 23-year-old Gossip Girl star landed the Footloose role after Zac Efron dropped out: “I know Zac and we’re actually friends,” Crawford tells EW.com.
“He’s gotta make the best choice for his career at this point and I have to make the best for mine, and luckily the situation worked out for both of us.”
Chace won the part after an audition, including dancing and singing, for the movie’s producers and High School Musical director Kenny Ortega.
“It was, like, five hours of the most rigorous tests ever,” says the Texas native.
Dancing With the Stars’ Julianne Hough will audition this week for the female lead role alongside Crawford. Some think her recent success as a country music star, in addition to her dancing prowess, could give her an edge.
Regardless of what gorgeous female stars opposite the Gossip Girl hunk, you can bet that Footloose will pay homage to the ’80s film in many respects.
Also expect to hear familiar tunes, but maybe not see the same choreography: “I don’t know if the gymnastics scene is going to make it,” says Crawford. “I’ve got some movement, but I’m not exactly a dancer. I need to start stretching now.”
Adam Lambert Lashes Out at Clay Aiken
It is so on.
While Adam Lambert and his American Idol rival Kris Allen might be close pals, the same can’t be said for this season’s runner-up and Clay Aiken.
Days after Aiken bashed Lambert’s rendition of “Ring of Fire” (and then quasi-apologized for his remarks), the flamboyant finalist has fired back.
“I don’t know Clay,” Adam told Access Hollywood this week. “I’m glad he’s getting headlines now though, because he wasn’t before.”
Snaps. Yo.
Lambert wasn’t done. He added:
“If he wants to ride my coattails about it, good for him.”
