Al Gore Cleared in Sexual Assault Investigation
Former Vice President Al Gore may have lost the 2000 presidential election to George W. Bush, and may be unable to defeat climate change all by himself.
But at least he thwarted Molly Hagerty.
Gore was cleared of a massage therapist’s sexual abuse allegations due to “lack of credible evidence” in the case, Portland, Ore., prosecutors said Friday.
The Multnomah County D.A.’s office decided that a “sustainable criminal case does not exist” after re-examining sexual assault claims by Molly Hagerty.
The masseuse said Gore made “unwanted sexual contact” with her during a massage at his hotel in 2006. The National Enquirer recently broke the story.
Later, two new accusers made similar claims.

Prosecutors declined to pursue the case against Al Gore after interviewing witnesses who were at the hotel and since Hagerty failed a polygraph test.
The D.A.’s office also said that “forensic testing” disputed her accusations. It’s not clear what types of tests were conducted and on what evidence.
We’re guessing the supposedly soiled pants of his … Gross.
“Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago,” spokeswoman Kalee Kreider said.
“He respects and appreciates the thorough and professional work of the Portland authorities and is pleased that this matter has now been resolved.”
Authorities reportedly questioned Gore personally last week.
Al Gore Interviewed in Sex Assault Case
Al Gore was questioned last week by Portland police, who just re-opened a 2006 case involving a massage therapist’s sexually abuse claims against him.
The former Vice President, who has emphatically denied the allegations, met Thursday with detectives in San Francisco, Portland TV station KATU reports.
A spokesperson for Gore declined to comment on the case, which became public last month when the accuser revealed all the graphic, hilarious details.
Molly Hagerty alleges Gore demanded sexual favors and made “unwanted sexual contact” with her during a massage in his Portland, Ore., hotel room.
Portland police had filed a “special report” in January 2007, recording the massage therapist’s claims that Al Gore grabbed and groped her that night.
The woman went public in a June 23 National Enquirer story and held up “soiled” pants purportedly containing Al Gore DNA for the magazine’s cover.
Yech.
By July 1, the Portland Police Bureau reopened its sexual assault investigation into Al Gore, who also faces similar claims from two new accusers.
The investigation resumed after detectives looking into the alleged incident last year failed to tell high-ranking officials that they were dropping the case.
Al and his wife Tipper Gore, split in June after 40 years of marriage.
Tipper does not believe Hagerty, however, and has stood by Al, saying she knew about the allegations and that they played no role in their separation.

Al Gore Sex Scandal Stunner: Two New Accusers, Both Masseuses, Come Forward
Already under investigation for sexually assaulting Molly Hagerty, Al Gore is now the subject of complaints from two more masseuses who say he groped them.
According to the National Enquirer, the former Vice President wanted more than a spa day at a luxury hotel in Beverly Hills, where he attended the 2007 Oscars.
If you know what we mean!
The other episode allegedly took place in 2008 at a hotel in Tokyo. A hotel source reportedly told the Enquirer about what happened when they were alone.
“Gore shrugged off a towel and stood naked in front of her,” said the source. Then, according to the report, Gore pointed south and said “Take care of this.”
That’s probably the funniest quote of all time, real or otherwise.

The former presidential candidate has denied any wrongdoing, and regarding Hagerty, questions have already been raised about the Enquirer paying her to talk.
Yet despite its low-brow reputation, the tabloid has blown the lid off the Tiger Woods and John Edwards sex scandals, the latter earning Pulitzer consideration.
It also bears mentioning that the police investigation into Gore’s conduct in the Hagerty case, dating back to 2006, is now back on. So something could be up.
All of this has come to light after Al and Tipper Gore split in early June after 40 years of marriage. For her part, she has defended him against Hagerty’s claim.
As for the two new accusers, their identities are under wraps, at least for the time being. We’ll see how long it takes for the Enquirer to pay for more details.
Tipper Gore Defends Al, Decries Allegations
Tough month for Al Gore. First, he announced a split from wife Tipper after 40 years, then was accused of sexual assault, then Prince declared the Internet “over.”
Fortunately, the former V.P.’s wife still has his back regarding the sex scandal.
Tipper says the couple’s separations nothing to do with the sexual assault allegations made against him by Molly Hagerty, nor does she buy the masseuse’s story.
Tabloids have suggested that Hagerty’s claim that Al Gore forced himself on her during a massage in a Portland hotel was the last straw in their unraveling union.
Not so, Tipper Gore and family friends say.
“And they also say Al had an affair with a Tennessee Titans cheerleader one week, a Hollywood producer the next,” says a friend close to both Al and Tipper Gore.
Adds the friend, “None of these is true. Both Al and Tipper are baffled by the sexual assault allegations, frustrated to see his name dragged through the mud.”
Al and Tipper Gore have split, but not because of any massage gone awry.
Another friend of Tipper’s says that “Tipper has known about these allegations since Al found out about them himself. She has known that massage has been very much a part of his health regimen for many, many, many years.”
Furthermore, “she doesn’t believe any of the allegations that this woman [Hagerty] is making and they played no role whatsoever in their decision to separate.”
The friend says Tipper Gore is unnerved to find herself back in the glare just after the couple’s June 1 announcement of their separation was supposed to afford her a life outside of the spotlight that comes with her husband’s public policy work.
It could get worse before it gets better.
On June 30, police reopened an investigation into the allegations, citing “procedural issues” with how the statement by Al Gore’s accuser was handled last year. Gore has denied wrongdoing and has not been charged with a crime.

We reported her accusations in graphic detail last week, but Molly Hagerty, Al Gore’s sexual assault accuser, faces myriad questions about her credibility.
Namely, that she went shopping her story for money years after the fact.
Police in Portland, Ore., announced that they are reopening the investigation into allegations of sexual abuse against former the former Vice President.
The accusation of unwanted sexual contact came from massage therapist Molly Hagerty, who was called to his hotel room at 4 a.m. on Oct. 24, 2006.
Gore says he received a massage, but denies acting inappropriately. Hagerty says that he repeatedly forced himself upon her, despite her objections.
He was never charged and the case was dropped due to insufficient evidence. It’s being reviewed, but there are reasons to be suspicious of Hagerty:
Why didn’t she just leave?
She said she feared she would be raped, a somewhat dubious claim in itself, or “accosted by some security detail,” when Gore had no detail that night.
Why did she wait weeks to make her initial complaint to police?
Hagerty waited six weeks to mention this, but she contends she told her friends immediately, and police may be interested in interviewing those people.
Why did she cancel interviews with police regarding the case?
Hagerty nixed three interviews with detectives about her criminal complaint. Three years later, Hagerty changed her mind again and decided to pursue it.
Did she receive money to tell her story?
The million-dollar question, possibly literally. Hagerty has twice been interviewed by the National Enquirer, which unabashedly and routinely pays sources.
As the Rielle Hunter-John Edwards and Tiger Woods-Rachel Uchitel scandals prove, that doesn’t mean they lie. But it does make you question motive.

Al Gore Sexual Abuse Investigation: Back On!
Portland police will reopen their investigation into Al Gore and allegations that the former V.P. sexually abused a massage therapist named Molly Hagerty.
Guy hasn’t felt the heat like this since November 2000!
The 2006 claims by Molly Hagerty did not lead to charges. Officials also may have briefly re-examined the case last year, resulting in recent media leaks.
Just last week, police said the matter wasn’t investigated further due to “insufficient evidence to support the allegations” and the accuser was uncooperative.
They were not specific about why they were taking another look at it this time, but Hagerty has since gone public with her claims against the politician.
She told the National Enquirer in graphic detail about the awful night Al Gore sexually abused her, allegedly, in his hotel room after paying for a massage.

A week after the inconvenient rumor first surfaced that Al Gore faced allegations of sexual assault, the former Veep issued a strongly worded denial Wednesday.
Confident that he will be exonerated, his camp says “Further investigation into this matter will only benefit Mr. Gore,” according to spokesperson Kalee Kreider.
“[Gore] cannot comment on every defamatory, misleading, inaccurate story generated by tabloids. Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago. He stands by that denial.”
The Enquirer, which has blown the lid off the Tiger Woods and John Edwards cheating scandals, was the first to report on the masseuse’s statement to the police last year regarding the alleged abuse at a luxury hotel in October 2006.
Molly Hagerty was reportedly considering suing the 62-year-old Gore before approaching the celebrity gossip publication, asking for $1 million for her story.
It’s unclear if she was paid that, but the Enquirer is unabashed about doing so for solid intel and, as Edwards’ scandal proved, it doesn’t mean it’s not true.

Moreover, “He’s not what people think he is - he’s a sick man!”
The story broke last week, with Molly Hagerty’s name withheld a a possible sex crime victim. Gore was not charged in 2006 or 2009, when the case was reopened.
It’s unclear why police took another look at this just last year for an alleged incident years earlier, but in any case, Hagerty is ready to go public - and tell all.

She already described Al Gore’s nasty moves in the bedroom … or at least when trying to get her into the bedroom. Now she’s seeking justice, no matter the cost.

Demanding police launch a full investigation, Hagerty says, “I want justice served,” claiming to have a key witness, secret surveillance footage and … DNA evidence.
We’re guessing said evidence would be the pants she’s holding in the pic above. The image of Al Gore making that stain may be seared into our brains forever.

Al Gore Won’t Be Charged in Alleged Sexual Assault; Mistress Describes V.P.’s Nasty Moves Anyway
An Oregon massage therapist’s claim of “unwanted sexual contact” by former Vice President Al Gore has been dismissed by authorities, citing lack of evidence.
The Multnomah County District Attorney’s office said it would not pursue the Al Gore sexual assault claim, but not before the police report was leaked online.
The woman originally claimed Gore “moaned, groaned and moved” like a “crazed sex poodle” and delivered a “come hither” stare … you may vomit on cue.
The alleged victim told detectives Gore attempted a “big tongue kiss,” “caressed” her “back and buttocks and breasts” and “shoved” her hand … you know.
Gore, who recently split from wife Tipper after 40 years of marriage, fed her chocolate and attempted to coerce her to the bedroom to listen to a Pink song.
The National Enquirer broke the story of the woman’s alleged Al Gore sex attack, which she reported four years ago and police revisited last year. He was not charged.
But police, for reasons unknown, investigated the case further in 2009. According to the masseuse, it began as Gore booked a massage, saying “Call me Al.”
On her arrival at Portland’s up-market Hotel Lucia, Al stretched out his arms to wrap her into an embrace before purposefully dimming the lights, she said.
“It was apparent from the beginning he had been drinking,” she claimed. “The hug went on a bit too long and I was a bit taken aback by it. If it weren’t Al Gore I would have seriously questioned the situation right there.”
In police documents, which identify “Mr. Stone aka Gore, Al” as the person of interest, the woman claims Gore said he wanted his inner thigh worked on.
“I was taught that a massage of the adductors could cause an involuntary erection,” she said, later, for some reason, adding, “I even voted for him in the last election, although in truth I was more accurately voting against Bush.”
She said, “When I began doing the requested abdominal area he became vocal with muffled moans, etc. He began demanding that I go lower and massaging on the abdominal area. I was shocked. He further insisted and acted angry.”
Describing herself as a Licensed Massage Therapist, the woman said she “went into much deeper shock as it appeared he was demanding sexual favors.”
The woman recounted a harrowning story of Gore progressing from moaning loudly during a massage, to launching a crazed attack, before breaking it off.
He lured her into the bedroom where he threw himself on top of her, it was also alleged: “He was moaning, groaning, moving in a very suggestive way.”
When the session was over, the woman said she left the room to wash her hands. But Gore came over and “caressed my back, and buttocks and breasts.”
She said, “I squirmed to try to get out of his grasp telling him to stop.” She told the former V.P. that he was a “crazy sex poodle,” to which he giggled.
“He then forced an open mouth kiss on me. I pushed back and said, ‘Stop it. You’re being way too frisky.’ I was distressed and shocked and terrified.”
She managed to throw Gore off her body, she claimed, until he grabbed her hand and then started singing along to Pink’s song “Dear Mr. President.”
She then asked him, “Just how long where you whacked out after the election? “He replied ’six-and-a-half years so far,’ just giggling his head off.”
As Gore, who has also been accused of having an affair with Laurie David, kept trying to have sex with her, the woman says she responded as such:
“I told him he would just have to take matters into his own hands.”
Not to be denied, the ex-Veep “pleaded, grabbed me… tongue kissed me… rubbed himself against my crotch saying, ‘You know you want to do it.’”
She claimed she managed to break away from Gore and leave the hotel, and at home “took a long, long warm shower and brushed my teeth for a long time to get out the Grand Marnier and Al Gore’s tongue and germs out of my mouth.”
In a moment Bill Clinton could probably sympathize with, the woman said she also noticed stains on the front of her pants, at which point “I wondered if it was soap or bodily fluids from Gore pushing up against me repeatedly,” she said.
Those pants were saved in a bank safe deposit box, along with a chocolate bar with his fingerprints as evidence, she says. But her story is full of holes.
She also described why she didn’t run out the room, claiming she was scared that if she did she would be shot or tased by the politician’s security detail.
However, when Detective Cheryl Daul, of Portland Police, questioned the masseuse, she later admitted she saw no security in or near the hotel suite.
The woman told investigators she did not want to make money from this, but the National Enquirer says she is trying to sell the story for $1 million.
The interview transcript revealed police appeared to trip her up when asking about payment, after she claimed Gore reached for a pocket to pay her.
When the police persisted in this line of questioning, the woman realized that in the version of the story she had just told, Gore was in a bathrobe.
The case was not pursued “because detectives concluded there was insufficient evidence to support the allegation. Gore has not yet commented.
An Inconvenient Rumor: Al Gore Accused of Sexual Assault on Massage Therapist
Al Gore has had better months. Ever since the former Vice President of the U.S. split from wife Tipper after 40 years, scandalous allegations have been flying.
The latest? The National Enquirer says Gore was accused of sexually attacking a masseuse in Portland, Oregon, back in 2006, and is named in a police report.

True or not, this report comes just weeks after Al and Tipper Gore split. The Enquirer says she suspected he was involved with “a gorgeous massage therapist.”
Well, at least she’s pretty, supposedly.

No criminal charges were filed against Gore, but Portland police prepared a document marked “Confidential Special Report” - containing explosive allegations.
A woman, whose name is being withheld by the publication, reportedly lodged a complaint “unwanted sexual contact” by Al Gore “at a local upscale hotel.”
We would say this is pure nonsense, but it’s not exactly loose, vague wording of the OK! or Star variety. Besides, after Rielle Hunter, nothing is surprising.
Other Dude Laurie David Allegedly Had Affair With Calls Al Gore Rumors Ridiculous
This week’s rumor of an Al Gore-Laurie David affair heated up like the Earth’s surface after a century of fossil fuel-based emissions trapping some serious freaking greenhouse gasses - but like climate change, its validity is hotly debated.
Laurie David’s camp has denied it. A source close to Al Gore has denied it.
Still, the rumor of the two environmentalists falling in love - and Gore’s marriage falling apart - persists even though it was the famously unreliable Star magazine that linked the Vice President to the producer of An Inconvenient Truth.
Did the publication simply find a file photo of them together and concoct this out of thin air? Did they base it on unfounded rumors? Or is there something to it?
The latest denial comes today from … Laurie David’s contractor.
Calling the report “ludicrous” and “completely ridiculous, Bart Thorpe says “I know for a fact that Laurie hasn’t seen Al Gore for at least two years - at least.”
There’s little evidence of a Laurie David-Al Gore tryst, but rumors persist.
The significance of Bart Thorpe’s quote, given to the New York Post, is that he, of all people, supposedly had an affair with Laurie David himself, circa 2007.
Around that time, when he was doing work on her Martha’s Vineyard home, she split with Larry David, Seinfeld co-creator and Curb Your Enthusiasm star.
Mrs. David never emphatically denied that rumor, either.
For what it’s worth, the National Enquirer says Gore’s wife was suspicious of her husband and a certain cadre of ladies - but none match David’s description.
Also, an unnamed insider told the tab, “there’s never been proof that Al had affairs” or that infidelity contributed to his surprising split with Tipper Gore.
Basically, it looks like this rumor is just a lot of hot air (cue another bad global warming joke), but tabloids have been right about far more absurd things.
