Simon Cowell Introduces Tonight Show Viewers to Mezhgan Hussainy
On The Tonight Show last night, Simon Cowell was his usual self: witty, charming and open about everything.
First, he was asked about girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy and told Jay Leno that he’ll marry her “within the next ten years. This prompted the unfunny host to actually invite Hussainy onto the stage with her man.
She squeezed in close to Simon and laughed when he said:
“I always said if I was going to get engaged, I’d get engaged to a makeup artist,” adding that he gets “at least three touch-ups a night,” if you know what Simon means!
About his plans for children, Simon replied: “I’m kind of torn because I’m a bit too old to have kids but then I think it would be awesome to have a lot of mes running around.”

Simon Cowell: Totally Smitten with Mezhgan Hussainy
As evidenced by his response to Ryan Seacrest’s question during a live broadcast of American Idol last week (Who are you winking at? My girlfriend.), Simon Cowell is in proudly in love with Mezhgan Hussainy.
Whether or not these two are engaged is still a question, but Simon’s feelings for the make-up artist are not.
“You just know when you’ve found somebody special and I feel very, very happy,” Cowell tells Piers Morgan in an interview that will air Saturday in England.
The judge, of course, will leave American Idol after this season. What else does his future hold? Possibly children.
“The thing about kids, it’s like marriage, you know you have to believe you’re in something that you’re in for the long term, a hundred percent,” Simon said, not dismissing the possibility of procreation.
The Afghanistan-born Hussainy has been seen sporting a huge diamond ring, but neither she nor Cowell will confirm if a proposal has taken place. In other Idol news:

Radar Online does not offer any direct quotes on the rumor, but the website says Hussainy herself told its vice president that she was engaged to the American Idol judge.
Earlier this week, during a simple, sweet, candid moment on the show, Ryan Seacrest asked Simon who he kept winking to in the audience and Cowell replied: “My girlfriend.”
Says Simon’s publicist, Max Clifford:
“They are very suited. She is someone who is independent and says what she thinks and feels, and he likes that. He’s probably the happiest I have ever known him in the nine years I’ve been working with him.”
Hussainy works as a make-up artist on American Idol. Assuming she really is engaged to Cowell, insiders say a wedding may take place in the very near future. We wish these two the best!
Mezhgan Hussainy Responsible for “Complete Turnaround” in Simon Cowell, Mother Says
Based on comments last week, it appears as though Simon Cowell has a soft spot in his heart for this season’s female contestants. He’s hinted that he hopes Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox or another woman is crowned the next American Idol.
But there’s another female that’s truly won over Simon’s heart: Mezhgan Hussainy.
Cowell has referred to the make-up artist as “special,” while his mother has now gone on record about her son’s burgeoning relationship.
In a new interview, Julie Cowell relays a conversation she had with Simon soon after he asked Hussainy to move in with him.
“What baffled me most was the complete turnaround in my son. He has always insisted, ‘I’m fine as I am, mother. I’m not going to get committed to a marriage and I certainly don’t want children.’ I used to reply, ‘You don’t know, you’ve never had them.’”
Julie adds that “Mezhgan is absolutely lovely” and that she can’t believe the state of bliss in which her son finds himself.
“He looks exceptionally happy and there is such a glow about him,” Julie said. “I thought, my goodness me, he’s had to reach 50 to reach this stage. I think turning 50 has made him reassess his life.
“Now I really think marriage and fatherhood for Simon are going to happen. I would like to see an official engagement, a marriage and yes, then grandchildren. Mezghan is very family orientated, so she is ideal for him.”
Mezhgan Hussainy: The Future Mrs. Simon Cowell?
As a judge on American Idol, Simon Cowell is in control. He sits back and critiques aspiring contestants such as Andrew Garcia.
But in his personal life, the brutally honest Brit has no actual say. He may claim he’s not interested in marriage, as he stated throughout his relationship with Terri Seymour, but when the true love bug bites, it doesn’t let go.
Simon appears to be discovering this for the first time, as he was interviewed by Piers Morgan over the weekend for a TV show in England. Asked about new girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy, Cowell said:
“I’m smitten with Mezhgan, I think she’s the one. She’s very special.”
Hussainy, seen above with her man, is a make-up artist on American Idol and other hit shows. She may also be the future mother of Cowell’s children.
“You know when you’ve found somebody very special,” he said, adding: “I think I need to have little Simons around.”
Whoa! Talk about a total 180!
During the interview, Hussainy sat in the back of the room, donning a $400,00 diamond ring. Asked if the couple was engaged, Simon smiled and said: “No comment.”
Now we know how serious he must be. When was the last time Simon Cowell had no comment on anything?!?
