Swine Flew: Paula Deen Struck By Errant Ham
Proving that no good deed goes unpunished, celebrity chef Paula Deen was struck the face with a ham someone threw in her direction at a charity event.
Deen was helping unload a truck load of hams at Hosea Feed the Hungry & Homeless to make a Thanksgiving donation on behalf of Smithfield Foods.
This was all good until someone playfully threw a ham at a storage bucket and missed … hitting the Food Network star on the head and nose.
HAMMING IT UP: Paula Deen was tagged by one.
Deen was “startled at first, but quickly regained focus and kept her humor,” says her rep of what was the most flagrant abuse of meat since … well, this video.
Adds Deen’s rep, “She’s totally okay and now is icing her face.”

Philadelphia Phillies fan Steve Monforto took his little daughter Emily to his favorite team’s game last night. Maybe next time he’ll take a friend.
Steve made a terrific catch of a foul ball off the bat of the Phillies’ Jayson Werth, only to hand it to Emily and watch her toss it back on the field.
The reaction on his face is priceless. Pure pain.
Just the same, Monforto is an even better dad than he is a fan, as he immediately comforted his daughter, to “let her know she didn’t do anything wrong.”

Clearly, Tyra Banks is a walking, talking contradiction. But does she see it that way, and perhaps more significantly, does anyone care?

Oregon-Boise State Fight Kicks Off Football Season!
Boise State defeated Oregon, 19-8, to begin an exciting season of college football last night, but a punch thrown after the whistle is drawing all the attention.
Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount decided to go Chris Brown on a Boise State player after the game at Bronco Stadium. Dude had to be restrained.
Blount later apologized for the punch thrown at Byron Hout, who was creamed in the jaw as players flooded the field (most of them just to shake hands).
The Oregon attacker also went after some Broncos fans, and his actions were caught by ESPN and replayed countless times for the national TV audience.
